BETWEEN THE EARS™ + BERNARDSVILLE RECREATION
WHAT IS IT?
Coming together to raise awareness about Veteran suicide and support the Navy SEAL Foundation in their fight to combat this silent killer.
Led by Between the Ears Fitness’ owner and Bernardsville residents Bill and Karianne Anthes, participants will commit to 1,000 steps ups that can be performed at every ability and fitness level. The steps could be 1” to 24” height, and participants can step up with no load or a 45 lb. backpack and everything in between. Feel free to bring your own gear (e.g., step up boxes, ruck sacks, etc…).
This open-air workout is about the effort and action, not about performance or ability.

WHY PARTICIPATE?
CHAD 1000X is a workout designed by Chad Wilkinson, a former member of SEAL Team 6 who died by suicide on October 29, 2018. His wife Sara now uses it as a rallying cry to have a real conversation about mental health issue. Her goal is to honor Chad’s life and change the number of Veterans (and all people) who take or are think about this path. Thank you for joining us in this noble and worthwhile cause.
